Parenting practices are intentional behaviors, such as support, praise, involvement, communication, rules, and discipline. They have a direct link to adolescents’ behaviors and have been associated with positive outcomes for teens.
Parent practices for technology involve:
Establish rules regarding technology use
Monitoring online behavior
Communicating expectations
Setting a good example
Setting limits

Parents as Teachers
Parents teach children skills, knowledge, and behaviors which need to be transferred to a digital environment.
Values
Instilling beliefs and behaviors that are important to you. Moral values include honesty, respect, integrity, and doing no harm.
